Today really consists of me laying on the couch, blogging. I was 25 posts behind! Most had been written, but I needed to write about seven of them.
I eat kebabs for breakfast and waffles for lunch.
Sam is outside, his team of people working on his yard. Here in Tahoe, most people have dirt yards. With three dogs, Sam dusts every week. By the end of the week, it looks like the place hasn’t been lived in for months, it’s that dusty!

He has added grass to his lawn, and also put some wire mesh on the rest of the yard and added drain rocks over it.
It looks really nice!
He spends the majority of the day doing this as I scrape up the motivation to put my posts out.
The good thing: I’m almost done blogging!
The interesting thing: I put all of my posts out on The Trek at once. My personal blog, The Wonderland Journal, I still scheduled them out per usual.
It’s been about three weeks since I last posted!
Now I have about 25 ready to go out, and I feel so much relief!
Basically I decided to stop scheduling out my posts for The Trek and stop editing my posts. This saves me a ton of time.
I’m learning to constantly make efficiencies to make my life easier and less stressful!
We run to the grocery store and grab some stuff for dinner.
I make white chicken chili — one of Dad and my favorite dishes to make at home — and snack on chips while Sam makes a quick run to do some work.

I open what I think is a ginger ale, but it’s a pale ale.
I really need to be better about reading labels. This happened to me on suspension bridge when I walked with Bumper on the wobbly bridge only to be beckoned back.
It read:
ONE PERSON AT A TIME
Whoops.
Sam cleaned out the hot tub for Dad and I, so we hop in that with an ice cream and pale ale!

Meanwhile, Rafiki and Luxy are going to see Cirque Alice in Reno!

I’m so jealous. I’m happy to be here with my brother and dad, but I really miss being with the group. And they’re seeing the first show that any of us have seen on trail!
Back in Tehachapi, there was a play showing. I wish I had pushed to see it!
Early on, Rafiki wanted to go to a theme park! But I wasn’t detached enough from Dad at that point to make a side quest with Rafiki. We had only been hiking together for three weeks or so.
I really wish I had been more adventurous off trail while on the PCT.
I guess I’ll just have to be more mindful of that in the future.
But honestly, Rafiki and Luxy are going to go swimming, gamble (well, just Rafiki and Luxy will watch), and now they’re going to a show!

“So you have FOMO?” Sam says (FOMO means fear of missing out.)
“No! I just want to be hanging out with my friends.”
“That’s FOMO,” Sam says.
Bumper said the same thing.
Okay. Maybe I have a little bit of FOMO.
I really like my group of people. And I really like having fun with them in town.
On this sad feeling of missing my friends, I go to bed.
