It’s still morning when we reach a giant slab of rock where we can see mountains behind large chunks of trees. We’re all still wearing our fleeces — except Luxy — as we gaze at the iceberg of rock we stand on.
This giant rocky scenery is amazing.
We walk down a long slide of stone that’s been glued together.

A beautiful rushing river sings over our footsteps. A rock formation slides into the water on one side and a sloped rock wall that looks like a wide staircase is on the other side. The river crosses over a stone pathway.
Ten minutes later we cross a beautiful waterfall— Tuolumne waterfall — and this looks like it belongs in a five star resort.
The water crashes down giant steps as the water hits the walls and creates a mist all around us.

We walk through an open field. We’re surrounded by tall trees and I can see the mountains in the distance. The sky is layers of blue and wispy white.

After lunch, we come to another rock slab with water rushing down it. It must go on this way for a mile!
I pass warty trees and a big rock wall with black stripes. The sky is now a little gray. The path follows the wall for a short time. I stare at its turtle shell cracks as I walk by.
A bit later and I’m staring at mountains and trees with wind-blown bendy tips.
What a view!
We camp at Wilson Creek and settle down for the night. This has been a day full of so much beauty!
